Daniel Calvisi

I live in Los Angeles, California, the movie and television capital of the world.

I am a professional movie studio Story Analyst, Teacher, Writer and private Screenplay Consultant with over 15  years of experience working professionally on the craft and business of screenplays.

I am an industry veteran, having worked for studios and production companies that made commercial movies for theatrical release in the U.S. and around the world.

My employers have included Miramax Films, Dimension Films, Twentieth Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Polygram Filmed Entertainment and Clinica Estetico Films (production company of Academy Award-winning director Jonathan Demme, “The Silence of the Lambs”).

I have evaluated written submissions for executives who developed and/or executive produced the films CHICAGO, LIMITLESS, SPY KIDS, SCREAM 2 & 3, CHOCOLAT, THE WEDDING SINGER, ONE FINE DAY, THE GAME, ULEE’S GOLD, MIMIC and many others.

I wrote hundreds of coverage reports on the job as an A-list studio Reader.

I have taught screenwriting and story analysis at four educational institutions, including the New School University in New York City.

I have worked with over 500 private clients as a Screenplay Consultant.

I am a paid screenwriter.

I am an Inktip.com-approved Screenplay Consultant.
